Yes, there are a number of trekking routes in Nepal. Many are in the hilly region and some are in the himalayan region. The length, duration and cost of the trekking routes are different. Some routes take a few days while some even take as long as three weeks to complete. Annapurna Circuit Trek and Everest Base Camp Trek are the most popular trekking routes in Nepal.

You need to obtain a Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card before the start of the trekking. If you are trekking in the restricted trekking areas, you need to obtain a trekking permit (you do not need TIMS card in this case) from the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu. Please have a look at things to bring while traveling to Nepal before you embark on the journey.

You can trek as an independent trekker or arrange for the trekking through the agencies registered with the government.
